Macron and Modi's Spectacular Jaipur Extravaganza: Republic Day Roadshow and Tourist Delights Ignite the Pink City

France's President Emmanuel Macron is set to arrive in India on Thursday to partake in the 75th Republic Day celebrations as the chief guest. A day preceding the Republic Day parade in Delhi, Macron will join Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jaipur for a roadshow. The French president's itinerary includes visits to various tourist spots, such as the Amber Fort and the Jantar Mantar.

Scheduled to land in Jaipur at 2:30 pm, Macron will first proceed to the Amber Fort, followed by a visit to Jantar Mantar around 5:30 pm, where he will be accompanied by PM Modi. The leaders will receive a guided tour of Jantar Mantar.

According to the official program itinerary, Modi and Macron will conduct a roadshow from Jantar Mantar to Sanganeri Gate at approximately 6 pm, followed by a visit to the Hawa Mahal.

In anticipation of this high-profile visit, the city has devised comprehensive traffic arrangements. According to the Jaipur Traffic Police advisory, vehicles from Agra Road will be diverted from Rotary Circle, utilizing the Jawahar Nagar Bypass. Furthermore, vehicles heading towards Ram Niwas Bagh from the JLN route will be rerouted from the Arogya Path.

Possible diversions include Trimurti Circle to Govind Marg and Narayan Singh Tiraha. On January 25, the entry route to Ram Niwas Bagh from Museum Road will be closed, with Arogya Path and MD Road transformed into one-way routes, as reported by CNBC TV18.

To warmly welcome Macron and Modi, around 24,000 students from government schools will form a human chain along JLN Marg and the roads in the walled city. These students have been instructed to assemble at designated points between the state hangar (Jaipur airport) and Albert Hall by 1 pm, and between Tripolia Bazaar and Badi Chaupar in the walled city by 4 pm.

Officials are advising vehicle owners to steer clear of Jhalana Bypass and Tonk Road. Major roads within the walled city will experience traffic restrictions from 2 pm to at least 7 pm, with no traffic movement allowed on the stretch between Choti Chaupar to Badi Chaupar via Tripolia Bazaar.
